Prof. Ir. Arif Nur Afandi, ST, MT, MIAEng, MIEEE, Ph.D. is a Full Professor at Universitas Negeri Malang (Indonesia) and also a Liaison Professor at Kumamoto University (Japan), who is a Senior Member internationally of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) serving as the Chair of the Power and Energy Society (PES) Chapter for IEEE IS (IEEE IS). He graduated with Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at GSST Kumamoto University, Engineering Science Post Graduate at JTETI Gajah Mada University, Electrical Engineering at JTE Brawijaya University, and Electrical Engineer Program at PSPPI Brawijaya University. He teaches at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (DEEI) and is charged as Vice Rector of UM, Indonesia. Professionally, he is a senior researcher who leads as a Director for the Smart Power and Advanced Energy Systems (SPAES) Center, Power and Energy System Controls (PESC) Laboratory, and the Intelligent Power and Advanced Energy Systems (IPAES) Research Group. Scientifically, he is interested in energy & power systems, smart grid & hybrid systems, and intelligent & engineering computations. Many partners who are experts in their interests support his research focuses as a part of the grand research collaboration. Academically, he has various experiences in teaching, research, industrial projects, etc. He has authored and co-authored that recorded in many databases for journals and conferences within Scopus h-index=17 & i10-index=27, GScholar h-index=23 & i10-index=51.
