Prof. Ir. A.N. Afandi, ST, MT, MIAEng, MIEEE, Ph.D. is a Full Professor at Department of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), Indonesia, who graduated with Ph.D from Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at GSST Kumamoto University. Currently, he is a Liaison Professor of Kumamoto University (Japan), and also a Senior Member as the Chair of Power and Energy Society (PES) Chapter (Indonesia) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is currently charged as Vice Rector of UM. Professionally, he is a senior researcher who leads as a Director for the Smart Power and Advanced Energy Systems (SPAES) Center, the Intelligent Power and Advanced Energy Systems (IPAES) Research Group, and Power and Energy System Controls (PESC) Laboratory. Scientifically, he is interested in Power & Energy Systems, Smart Grid & Hybrid Systems, Intelligent Computation & Engineering Optimization, and Autonomous Control and Industrial Process. Academically, he has various experiences in teaching, research, industrial projects, etc. In 2024 (August), he has authored and co-authored that recorded in many databases for journals and conferences within Scopus h-index=17, GScholar h-index=24.
